Not bad as kebab shops go, you get a plentiful portion (enough for two) and at a reasonable price. We'll go again when in the area!

Ordered 3 piece southern fried chicken with chips x2 at a cost of £5 each (£1 delivery also +50p card charge) , altogether coming to £11.50. The chips were seasoned with chilli spice without being advertised as so. The chicken came from the poorest cuts of the bird with little meat and mostly bone, no breast cuts, just ribcage, underside and then 1 leg. The meat itself was bland and unseasoned, with the skin falling off as you picked it up, horrendously greasy also. Only positive was the pace of delivery. Wouldnt buy fried chicken from here again.

Spicy chips are the one

One of faves. I'm surprised by the amount of bad reviews. I've been using this takeaway for 8 years since I moved locally and the food has always been awesome. The kebabs are fab and the burgers are pretty tasty also. They rarely get our order wrong and the staff are very friendly.My only complaint would be that the garlic mayo isn't the best and not strong enough for my tasting.

Used to come here all the time and was amazing when I started uni in 2014, after leaving York for a couple years and coming back something has obviously changed.. extra requests are ignored, pizza took over 90 minutes to arrive and was cold soft and squishy.. extremely disappointed won’t be using again.

Vikings have been my local takeaway for a while. Unfortunately recently I have been dissapointed at times with slightly burnt pizza/garlic bread but I like my food in a specific way! The staff are always so friendly and have built up a good repour with my child

The pizza are not crunchy, it was totally soft..... I had a pizza funghi, I will never order pizza's here anymore. The chicken was a bit dry but the taste was good.

Absolutely fantastic! This is the first time we have used Viking, we usually use Efes or Istanbul Grill, but this is better than both put together! Was told delivery would be 30-35 minutes, it came in 20 minutes. The food was absolutely beautiful, I had a burger and it tasted like a homemade one! Will definitely be using again as we couldn't be happier!

I usually get a takeaway from here every weekend. Good size frued chicken pieces and the their special receipe hot chilly sauce is their best selling point! I also must admit I soley come here just for the sauce compared to other chicken sauce. Good choice of pizzas and kebabs which are reasonably delicious. Only cons being cash only takeaway as they don't accept cards for payment.

Just get something on the cheesy garlic bread, I tell my girlfriend I'm cheating on her, I'm really just nipping out for cheesy garlic bread with bolognese, worth it

Nice food, fast delivery,

The pizza tasted great and after a long night out of drinking, this place was perfect as it was on the way home and strategically optimal. Friends also enjoyed their chicken wings. Order didn't take too long as well and the staff were polite. Should definitely check out the meaty fiesta pizza.

Very good local takeaway, prices reasonable, wide selection of items, I have the veggie burger with chips and it is cheaper than McDonald's and significantly nicer. Their online ordering system is very useful, especially living close to Vikings and having the facility to pay by card on the website is useful. The staff even recognise me now as I usually have the same thing each time.

Ordered wrap got pita salad very poor. No red cabbage no tomato no cucumber delivery very long. Asked for sauce and no chilli sauce. No forks no tissue

Best pizza

Doesn’t even deserve a star.. everytime I make an order they take the piss. I wanted cheesy chips and they gave me grated cheese and chips, the food is absolutely awful in there i just thought i’d Grab something quick but they even. took the piss on that and gave everyone after me who ordered their food, smh then they had the adassity to say they have other customers they don’t care

I was given food poisoning from the chicken and chips, the pizza was sloppy and the kebab is like thin plastic. Blegh...

Terrible ordered from here everyone got food but my pizza was given to the order before ours! Was told they could not make a new one either. Not happy at all

Only eat here if you want to lose weight fast. I ate half of the smallest size of kebab that they do. The meat wasn't cooked and not even hot. I then spent 48 hours with severe sickness and diahorrea. The EHO should pay them a visit! Terrible.

As with any of these small takeaways, the food quality is terrible unless you are drunk, you have very low standards, you're a student or you have yet to experience anything better in life. I had a burger and chips while sober and it was one of the worst burgers I've ever eaten. Cheap tacky burger covered in some kind of watery ketchup all in a basic bun for about £5.50.You could even pay about 90p more at McDonalds for a medium Signature Collection burger meal, or just pay a few pounds extra and get a Five Guys.

Extremely impressed with the food from here. Staff were very friendly. Pizza was Amazing. And great value for money. I really recommend and when I visit York again I will be coming back for more food!

Awful. Worst takeout in York. Staff are rude and portions laughable. Few chicken pieces in a manky nan and small portion of oven chips for a tenner, Complete joke. Definitely will not be going back here again

Well after numerous years of been a loyal customer I can well and truly say I will never use this place again the customer service over the past couple of times has been rubbish food not arriving drivers not been able to find my house even though the owner used to live next door lol and drivers turning up with no change I could go on but won't stay well clear if I was you thanks for reading
